One week in Ireland (again)… and only 4 weeks left now :)

Soo, this week a lot has happened… but it has been a quite good week actually. Started to work again after we got our computers on tuesday/wednesday. I have also quit my work so I am going to Iceland on the 31st of March and then back to Sweden on the 5th of April. I might be needed to work 2 weeks after the easter in Malmö to finish up the work we have started, but after that I don´t know, Iceland again or Norway until September when it is Slaughterhouse time again

I have really started to hate the island more and more, but the work is quite ok it could be great if it had been back in Sweden actually, a lot cheaper than here

Now time for a shower and then party in Maynooth with a friend… who knows what we will find there

So, I have now finished my last workday here in Malmö and Sweden for some time… tomorrow I leave Sweden for Ireland to work for some time…. only 40 days left now until its time for Iceland again. After that my life is a big ? who knows what happens next. Probably Norway or Denmark… but hopefully I might be returning for Iceland to work already in April…

Now its time to finish packing and watch the olympics…

Hopefully we might have some more medals tonight )))

one month and one update… shame on me

Shit, I am sorry for the lack of updates recently… but I’ve had some tough weeks… luckily now it is better, alot better

I have finally booked the tickets to Reykjavik, on the 31st of March I’m leaving Ireland for this time and spend a few days on Iceland before going back to Sweden for a few days. Unfortunally I am going alone because of finance issues , but what the hell I’ll just meet some nice people there to party with

I also have some new things going on in the job department, but I won’t break those news yet. But on the 5th of April the quest for a new job is going to start, atleast in the worst scenario and this time it needs to be something physical

End of this small update, hopefully I will write a new update that is going to be very positive in the end of the week

After a week at work, the pieces are starting to fall together. I am starting to learn all the systems, procedures and other stuff that I will need when we go live in Dublin. There is unfortunately not much to do after work, 1-2 hours at the gym, get some food and then its time to sleep. Luckily weekends are a bit more crazy this Saturday we were at http://deepclub.se which had an 90s night, it was pretty fun, it closed at 5am. Hopefully the next weekend will be even more wild and crazy.

I have also started to plan a weekend in Reykjavik later this spring with my brother and maybe Hanna and her sister, just party away for a few days but that will not be in the near future…

Right now its time to sleep, up 6am tomorrow for another day of work.

Back on the mothership

After a quick week on Ireland I am back in Sweden to work for a couple of weeks before going back to Leixlip, Ireland. But living on a hotel in Malmö for a couple of weeks is not that bad

I am already missing Iceland, I am hoping that August can get me a job there ASAP. It would also be great if Patricia and Hanna could come with me ;D

Year 2010… The beginning

On the 3rd of January I left Sweden for Ireland. I got a job at HP Costumer Support. But apparently I am going back to Malmö, Sweden for some special work during a few weeks. Don´t know what I am going to do there, but I hope it will be interesting.

The year of 2010 is going to be a year of travel and work for me. Iceland, Ireland and perhaps a few more countries :)

I am going to try and keep it updated as best as I can. The main language will be English but a few Swedish posts might slip in

A beginning of a new life

The 5th of September last my plane took of from Arlanda Airport, Stockholm with the destination Keflavik Airport on Iceland. This was going to be a restart of my boring and unsuccessful life…

The first impressions I got during the bus ride were “How the fuck am I going to live with these people for the next 2 months” but that impression was about to change dramaticly.

The work:

The work was on a slaughterhouse on the northern shores of Iceland in a small village/town called Saudarkrokur. This was during the slaughter season for sheep, the season lasted one months but me and two other swedes stayed for one extra month. During the week I worked quite much, between 10 and 12 hours per day and also Saturdays during the first weeks. The work was physical and very hard so I built quite a lot of muscles and lost aprox. 20kg during the three months.

The life outside work:

Under the first month I didn’t really party a lot, it was only work, work and work. I didn’t actually got into Maellifell until the last month… that was really a mistake, since the atmosphere in there was really incredably. The Icelandic people is the nicest and best people I have ever met.

The last month:

The last month in the town were really incredible, I got my new two best friends there, Patricia and Hanna. During the month many weird, crazy and epic stuff happened. Most of it is classified but I can say that it was my best month in my life, might even be forever.

I really miss it, the work, the people, the country, EVERYTHING. Luckily I am planning to come back next year
